Let’s read about Miks’ experience

So as to travel to almost anywhere in Europe by bus from Latvia one must cross Poland, which usually takes about 15 hours. Latvians who love to travel know it quite well. They get exhausted. That is why most Latvians only regard Poland as a land of mere highways and gas stations.

A project I recently attended “Active is attractive” gave me another chance to see Poland… through which I fell in love with this country (Fellow Latvians would not understand that) Now I know the highways connect beautiful cities like Grudziądz and Bydgoszcz. Now I know the hospitality of the inhabitants thereof.

Youth exchange projects like this yield not only knowledge, but also memories. Now this is the way to teach youth what the world is really like, since one simply does not get this good opportunities to make friends from abroad and get a true international experience from mere traveling.

We were learning together. Learning how to be an active citizen and invest into the welfare of the ones around us.

We are now on our way to becoming Attractive.

Through successful team-building activities and solving problems together we, young people from three countries, built an everlasting team spirit that will not be broken even by the sadness of farewell.

Not all ideas come to fruition and not all groups of people can make a team.

We did it though, thanks to selfless work from our project leader Marta and equal investment from every participant.

We brought down borders.
